Working with QFAB

We work with a variety of researchers across a diverse range of biological projects. This diversity builds our intellectual capacity to apply new skills and approaches to your project, to implement the most effective solutions to help researchers to unlock the full value of their data.

Early engagement with researchers means we can take the time to understand your goals and help derive the most efficient and cost-effective bioinformatics solutions, while the international experience brought to projects by our member team ensures the application of the relevant tools to the right data to answer your particular questions.

QFAB provides a fast and flexible service and can work on a fee-for-service basis, provide personnel time against an ongoing need or develop a detailed proposal to meet your specifications. We also act as a co-applicant on grants or can be part of your team by being embedded in your organisation.

We have a strong track record of delivering results which are grounded in the team’s commitment to continuous learning and innovation, ensuring that our clients can trust in the knowledge and integrity of our support.

Models of engagement:

Fee for service/project Work with QFAB on a specific bioinformatics project. To discuss the scope of your project, your requirements, the strategy, and timeline, contact us today.
Flexible %FTE and on-demand support The %FTE is a flexible solution to accommodate bioinformatics needs for research groups with data analysis need but who do not need a full-time bioinformatician or post-doc. This is also the best model when your project involves exploratory analysis. Get a QFAB bioinformatician dedicated to your projects and work with your team for an allocated time (ex: 1 day per week, 30 days / year…)
We can also work with you on an on-demand basis: pre-purchase some QFAB’s bioinformaticians and biostatisticians time, and use it when needed
Embedded personnel on site Get a flexible %FTE bioinformatician or biostatistician embedded within your laboratory, institute or organisation.
Co-applicant on grants

QFAB can be a partner on your grant applications. The team members can also be listed as CIs or AIs on your grant applications. Think of your data strategy for your grant application and discuss it with the QFAB team.
