The workshop provides an introduction to REDCap for the development and management of registries and surveys through hands on exercises. The skills can maximise the value of the data being captured in clinical studies. No prior statistical or computing knowledge is required.
Working with QFAB
We work with a variety of researchers across a diverse range of biological and health projects. This diversity builds our intellectual capacity to apply new skills and approaches to your project, to implement the most effective solutions to help researchers to unlock the full value of their data.
Early engagement means we can take the time to understand your goals and help derive the most efficient and cost-effective bioinformatics solutions, while the international experience brought to projects by our member team ensures the application of the relevant tools to the right data to answer your particular questions.
QFAB can work on a fee-for-service basis, provide personnel time against an ongoing need or develop a detailed proposal to meet your specifications. We can also embedded personel to be part of your research team.
We have a strong track record of delivering results which are grounded in the team’s commitment to continuous learning and innovation, ensuring that our clients can trust in the knowledge and integrity of our support.
Models of engagement
|Fee for service/project||We work on a specific project with well defined deliverables and milestones.|
|On-demand support||A specified number of days of support is purchased in advance and can be used when required during a specified period (usually 12 months). This is also the good model when the project involves exploratory analysis and requires a more agile approach.|
|Embedded %FTE personnel on site||
The %FTE is a flexible solution to accommodate bioinformatics needs for research groups with on-going data analysis needs but who do not need a full-time bioinformatician. A QFAB bioinformatician can be dedicated to your projects and work with your team on the basis of a fraction of FTE (e.g. 1 day per week).
|Training & workshops||We provide a set of bioinformatics, biostatistics and biodata training workshops all through the year (Program). We can also deliver training workshops within organisations in Australia.|
